Akhtar is the head of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), which manages globalization using programs in environmentally sustainable development, trade/investment, and human rights. Solheim is a Norwegian diplomat and Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme, a UN agency that assists developing countries in forming environmentally-sound policies. The main focus of the article is about Harsh Vardhan speaking at the 2017 Business and Climate Summit in New Delhi, India. Vardhan is India's Minister of Science and Technology, and the head of the "Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change" and the Ministry of Earth Sciences. The Business and Climate Summit is an annual forum where key figures in India's government and businesses meet to discuss climate change policy, with particular regards to reducing carbon emissions.
